The “Institutions and Education Practices” (IPE) axis includes two sub-domains.
- The “Policy, context and actors” sub-domain brings together researchers who are mobilising mainly tools and frameworks coming from a sociological approach of institutions (academic institutions, education ones, etc.).
- The “Knowledge practices, geneses and diffusion” sub-domain brings together researchers who are taking an interest in the didactics’ aspects of what is at the very stake of these institutions, and more specifically in the teaching and learning effective practices (in class, in training situation, etc.).
The “Device, Instruments and Activity” axis includes two sub-domains.
- The “Experience, development, technical and human mediation” (ED) sub-domain brings together researchers who are mainly taking an interest in adults’ education within different contexts (fist-time students, continuing education, “popular” (non-academic education, distance learning, university education, etc.).
- The “Educational technologies, conceptions and usage” sub-domain (TE) brings together researchers who are studying the role, functions and education environments of learning instruments and artefacts, from design to usage, including the different effects of hybridization of training processes.
The emergence of cross-axis themes brings out new lines of work for members of both axes: “art, creation and education”, “school inequality and digital technology”, “university teaching methods” or “research dissemination and outreach”.
